According to the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy there are 33.3 million small businesses in the USA. The site has many options divided by topics so you can select the topic that applies to your business and progress through the activities at your own pace and time available.

2. Learn about business structures

SBA and IRS have pages inside their websites that explain the many business structures available to register your new business. Almost all the small business owners get registered as sole proprietorships as default structure and it may work for you as you grow your business, but later it may be required to change business structure that suits best your growing business.

3. America’s SBDC California

The small business site for the state of california offers various topics of interest to the entrepreneurs. Each section has many links to other websites that could be useful, so think of this website as an index to many other sites and resources. Some sections are focused specifically for state laws of California but others could be useful for you even if your business isn’t located in California.
